Darryl Willie is a dynamic education ambassador with 20 years of experience spanning K-12 and higher education. He began as a classroom educator with Teach For America in the Mississippi Delta and later served as an education administrator at UC Berkeley in California. Darryl also led as a nonprofit Executive Director and spearheaded business development in the workforce space, where he excelled in fostering community and business partnerships, managing large-scale projects, and creating impactful learning environments. His commitment to addressing the needs of communities of color and creating sustainable outcomes for students led him to serve on the Duval County School Board in Jacksonville, Florida, where he has been a two-time Chair, overseeing the 14th largest district in the country. Darryl earned his Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and a Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Georgia. He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and resides in Jacksonville with his wife and three brilliant daughters.
