About me
I am a dedicated educator with over 30 years of experience, currently serving as the Lead Teacher of Athletics and Attendance for East Cleveland City Schools and an Ohio Teacher Leader Liaison. I have a passion for using physical education, physical literacy, Action Based Learning and sports to improve academic success, student wellness, and engagement. I’ve implemented programs like USA Baseball Fun at Bat, WNBA Her Time to Play, NBA Math Hoops, and led the STEM in the Neuronasium Project, which integrates STEM learning with physical activity. As a Grant Reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation and Safe and Drug-Free Schools, White House Initiatives for African Americans and a contributor to the Center for Pedagogy for African American Learners, I bring expertise in program development, data-driven attendance strategies, and trauma-informed wellness practices.
Let's connect on youth development, curriculum design, and strategies to improve student outcomes through innovative education, wellness, physical activity and sports.
